The project tells a story about the history and rejuvenation of an old glass factory - Shekou I-Factory (former name: Float Glass Factory). The factory documented the glorious history of the Reform and Opening-up in the 1980s. Over time, however, there were  only a group of abandoned factory buildings left, standing alone on the site. In 2014, L&A Design was invited to do the design for the site's rejuvenation. To facilitate this project more effectively, the design team studied hard about the site's history. Inspired by the continuous noted popularity of the 2013 Biennale on the site, the design team believed that preserving the site story about vitality and enthusiasm is a way to give this once trend-leading site a new life.
